The best 5 tips when using Mid-journey as a beginner

The results you obtain depend on how the input, called “prompt” is written. The prompt is basically the “command” that you give to Mid-Journey. So as a beginner, here are the 5 essential tips to get faster better results.

1 # use the “/imagine” command, and then start to write your “prompt”. Example: “/imagine a magical sunflower field under a sunset –ar 3:2”

2 # Be as clear and descriptive as possible; include adjective that describes what you are looking for. For instance, instead of just writing “a bouquet of flowers”, write: “a bouquet of red roses in a glass vase”.  Also add the style of pictures. Do you want a “hyper-realistic” flower bouquet, or more oil painting style?

3 # Start with simple prompts. Avoid too many detailed instructions initially. You can always redefine once the first batch of results is completed. For instance, instead of writing: “create a picture of white cat flying over New York City skyscraper with black sunglasses on a small red bike, in a middle of a snowstorm”, try first “create a realistic picture of a cat flying over skyscrapers”

4 # Use style reference if you know exactly what you exactly want. Use artist names, movements, or genre to influence the output of your “prompt”. For example, “Draw a picture of garden Claude Monet style”, or “art deco-inspired home décor”

5 # Midjourney supports customs aspect ratios for the image that you are looking for. So if you want you can add width:height; type: “—ar 16:9” for wide, cinematic scenes or “—ar 1:1” for square compositions.

Have Fun!
